Dear Prague Discount Hotels,

I found your website and service very user-friendly and of a very good standard (particularly impressed with inclusion of arrival transfer). Our driver was very friendly and informative on Prague, and our hotel 'U Suteru' was fantastic, just what we were looking for. The style of the hotel was most impressive and we loved the great location(all main areas can be covered on foot). As with many people who have agreed, the restaurant U Suteru was great and provided our best meal in Prague !

All in all, very satisfied with the booking and service.

Thanks !

Hello,

I was happy with your service and with the hotels. The room could have been a little bit bigger, but other then that all was fine.

Thanks

We were very happy with the hotel.

Clean, functional rooms. Plenty of breakfast. Helpful front desk staff. Good Central location with easy access to transport.

Two negatives - baggage storage room is just a dirty outbuilding cupboard, and there is some significant development going on out the back of the hotel, which we weren't made aware of (it did not disturb us however).

Recommended as a good 'no frills' hotel.

I'm glad you have reminded to give you feedback.
Our party of ten was very impressed with the quality, cleanliness and friendliness at the hotel. We all said that we would return to the Eurostars Hotel if we traveled to Prague again. We were especially impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. We had a wonderful weekend. Thank you.

Hello

Thank you for asking for feedback.

I think your system worked well... and I would definately use you again.

The one small problem was when I arrived at the airport, the taxi driver did not show the right name on his card, so I did not see him. However... he rang you... and then some one in your office kindly rang me and we sorted it out. I was impressed with this. Thank you.

I must admit to you that I had not checked the small print of the booking and had not realised that I needed to pay the taxi man 500 crown for the return journey. It would have been a good idea if the first taxi driver had reminded me of this when he asked if I wanted the return taxi. So I was embarrassed when the taxi man returned me to the airport asked me for the 500 crown at the airport. He is a man from East Germany, he seemed very honest and reliable so I paid him... and then when I checked the reservation... yes it is clearly written there... so my mistake...and I was so embarrassed... so please can you give my apologies to the taxi man for this embarrasment. Maybe it would be better to include this cost into the booking? And then it saves this sort of problem?

Otherwise.. was pleased with the hotel, liked Prague ... and people friendly. Yours is a good idea and I wish you success.

Sirs,

Further to your recent email sent to my wife's email - it was she who undertook the booking on my behalf. However, it was my daughter (43) and myself (75) who stayed in the Kampa Garden for a week last month. We found the hotel to be satisfactory in every way. We were particularly impressed with the way our rooms were cleaned and refreshed each day, and with the helpful, charming students who manned the reception desk.

Our only wish was that there might have been a small residents' sitting-lounge where it would have been possible to obtain some light, non-alcoholic, beverage at any time of the day or evening. If we ever have friends planning to visit Prague we would have no hesitation in recommending the Kampa Garden as being comfortable, efficient and excellently situated near so many of the main attractions of the city and yet being quiet and comparatively secluded.

I hope that these short comments are helpful.

Sincere regards.

When: May 2008

I traveled with two colleagues, and we had two rooms on the 5th floor, which (unbeknownst to us) was in a separate building around the corner. The rooms were very nice and very clean, although the ventilation could be better there are several high windows that couldn't be opened. The staff was extremely helpful and very willing to help solve problems. We did have the problem that the breakfast was only available after 9 am, and we had meetings most days at 9.

The staff member actually took us to a bakery around the corner and bought us breakfast, which was excellent. One day we were able to have breakfast after 9, and that was an excellent breakfast buffet.

The transport service to the hotel was excellent. Our driver was waiting for us, even though we arrived just over an hour late, and he was very helpful.

I would definitely use your service again, and probably the hotel as well.

Sincerely,

Joel Anderson

My comments on Pension Accord:

Great location! A block from the metro and five minutes walking from Old Town Square. Great breakfast options and I appreciated the voucher for the American breakfast. Beds were comfortable. TV is too small so it was difficult to watch while sitting in bed. Reception staff were terrific! They let me use an alarm clock when I needed it. And thanks for the Internet service too. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would consider it again for a future stay myself.

Working with PragueDiscountHotels was overall a very positive experience. There were only a few small problems. First, about two days before I was set to leave for Prague, I received a call stating that the original booking for my apartment never went through, which meant I was being moved. Fortunately, the new place was similar in size, location, and quality with what I had originally booked, so it was not a big problem. Still, it had me worried for a little while.

Secondly, at the apartment the oven was not working when we arrived. It took us more than a day to fix the problem ourselves. Some help from management would have been good for that.

Also, the TV didn't work, but that wasn't too much of a problem either.

Otherwise, the apartment was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We were very happy with it, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were clean and the staff were mostly helpful and patient.

My only complaint is we were told that on our last day it would be possible to leave our bags at reception but then were not allowed.

Kind Regards.

Hello,

Thanks for your mail.

Our stay at the Green Lobster was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very good for the price.

One comment for you to pass on to the city council was the very disappointing episode we saw whilst eating an evening meal in the Old Town Square (near the astronomical clock). A drunk man was causing some irritation to the waiters and waitresses in the nearby area at which point a “bodyguard” (so described by our waitress) beat him hard about the face and upper body and this only moments after 2 police officers walked by and ignored the drunks obnoxious behavior. This sort of punishment is too harsh and why Prague restaurants have “bodyguards” in the first place makes visitors like ourselves wonder what the state of law and order is like.

Other than that, what a beautiful city with beautiful people.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi

It was our first trip to Prague and also the first time that we had booked flights and hotels ourselves via the Internet instead of using a travel agent or holiday company.

We chose your company from the Internet and were very pleased when you organized the airport transfers. The airline changed the flight times and you were very good in changing the transfer times to fit in with this.

The transfers worked very well and the hotel was exactly what we wanted. The weather was good and the city was stunning so we had a fabulous time.

Needless to say we will be returning to Prague and we will be using you again.

Thanks very much for all your help.

Hi

We all were very happy with the apartment and the drivers. We were a bit concerned when we reached the apartment at about 10pm and no one was there to let us in. The driver was still with us and he rang the office to sort the key out. We waited about 10 minutes and someone came to let us in. He was very helpful, told us where everything is and what to do on departure. We enjoyed staying in the apartment. It was very clean and modern. The location was superb, could not off been anymore central. The driver on the return journey turned up as requested. Would book through you again.

Hi!

We were very impressed with your service and with the hotel. A driver met us at the airport, as promised, and the hotel was beautiful. The only small complaint I have is that we were charged 10 euros more than what we had agreed on. I just saw the charge on my credit card account a few days ago. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Thanks very much for everything!

Comments on The Green Lobster Hotel

The Green Lobster Hotel is the most incorrectly advertised hotel that I have had the misfortune to book in my life. We booked a double room for ourselves and our 18 month old baby. Expecting to be shown to a room similatr to the ones on your and the hotels website, we were shown to a very small room with a double bed squeezed in and a shower, no bath just a shower. Even though we advised the hotel that we had a toddler with us and that a bath is essential. We were treated by the hotel with total indifference, and when complaining about the hotel, we were told that they have quite a few comments of a similar nature.

Finally after over an hours complaining, we were transferred to Hotel Tyl, which was acceptable, so much that we are staying at it again in August

I would seriously suggest that your advertising of the Green Lobster Hotel is more realistic and reflects what the hotel is actually like.

Hello

I'm not really sure how to start this so here goes sorry if it sounds a little unplanned.

I went to Prague as a group of seven (8 were booked but one couldn't make it) in APril. At the airport we were met by the transfer, we didn't get his name but were able to deduce that he was originally from Germany. We (as a group) could not have been more impressed with the driver. He was friendly, polite and incredibly helpful. He drove us to the apartment which got mixed reviews. I was a little disappointed at the accomodation. Firstly there was no real point of contact with yourselves, (we wanted to know how much to tip the driver on the way back to the airport). The apartment was supposed to be for 8 but consisted on two double bedrooms and four beds placed in the lounge area. I think that i was expecting at least everyone to be in a designated bedroom and not in commual living space. Having said this the apartment was clean and tidy and the location was really superb!

Our group had a wonderful time in Prague.

If i was to organise another trip to Prague i would definately consider booking with you again.

Thanks very much

Hi, Im writing in response to your email asking for feedback regarding my stay with you. I found the hotel very nice and the rooms were superb, very light, airey, clean and well laid out. The location is the main reason why we chose your hotel and we were not dissapointed, the location is excellent.

One problem we did have was with the security at the hotel we stayed in. We were staying in the hotel directly on the main square. The security we very very rude to my partner one evening. The security guard as you enter the building shouted at her and adopted a very aggresive stance. I did not appreciate this at all, I asked him to be more respectfull but he did not listen at all. He would not allow her through even though she had her pass and I did not, he grabbed the pass out of her hand, gave it to me and told me to go through. Im not sure why he did this, I told he that she should go through and bring back the other pass but he refused. I then asked the next security guard who was sitting in the small office the other security guards name and attempted to inofrm him of the situation but he just looked at the newspaper and did not even acknowledge me. By now I was extremly angry and my partner had to calm me down. There is no excuse for their behaviour, they were both extremly rude and that is not what we expect when paying for a service. This was a major issue for both of use so we made an official complaint at the main reception from where we collected the keys. The lady and gentleman their were very polite and helpfull. This was the only problem we encountered through out our stay.

Apart from the above issue we thouroghly enjoyed our stay have recommened you to friends. Your hotel will definately be our first choice if we were ever to visit Prague again. Thank you for a great time

The stay in Prague was very nice, and I would strongly recommend using your company to my friends. The hotel was much greater than our expectations, and very reasonably priced. The only issue we had with our stay was confusion over the changing of a taxi, which resulted in us paying an alteration fee, which we feel was unfair, however this is the only complaint with the entire holiday.

Yours sincerely,

Our room (Rudolph II) at the Green Lobster Hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. Its unique, individuality will stay with us forever. The hotels' location near the castle was excellent and provided a lovely walk down to the Charles Bridge.

We hope to visit Prague again at some point in the future, and would definitely book through yourselves and would insist on The Green Lobster and Rudolph II (which we thought was the best room in Prague).

- trash can in bathroom
- more info from receptionist on tours available (prior to booking). maybe you could have them display the different tours on check-in
- restaurant suggestions - also good upon arrival
- though, receptionist did help me a lot on scheduling a tour - i appreciated that A LOT! (thanks!)
- good housekeeping, clean rooms and nice rooms

Hello

We had an excellent time in Prague.

We were slightly dubious at first for having to pay the full cost of our hotel up front before even traveling especially when we had booked so far in advance. However we needn't have worried! Our hotel "The Pension Accord" was expecting us and our room, although basic was comfortable for the bargain price we had paid. Centrally located just as you had stated on the web site - it is less than a 3 minute walk to the centre. Breakfast at the Red Hot Blues was excellent and plentiful - the voucher system works well.

The offer of the free taxi again we were wondering if this was too good to be true and whether there was a catch, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our taxi driver had excellent knowledge of the city and we booked there and then the return journey to the airport.

If we ever return to Prague, we would have no hesitation in using your website again or recommending it to our friends.

We have very much enjoyed our stay in Prague and the service provided by Hotel Falkensteiner Maria throughout our stay.

However, we do have one complained regarding our hotel booking through your website. Your website advertised a complimentary airport transfer to any hotel of our choice if we made our booking through you. This claim was the sole reason we have brought our business to you. Hence, you can imagine our dissappointment when arriving in Prague airport and finding no transport has been organised for us, despite having waited for 30 minutes. This had been a great inconvinience to us, not to mention the trouble we experienced in seeking alternative transport in a foreign town, as well as the consequent delays caused by the waiting and the alternative transport.

It was unfortunate that this has occurred, and rest assured it will be a deterrent from using your service again in the future.

Dear Sirs

Thank you for your email.

We had a wonderful time in Prague and the journey from the airport couldn't have been easier. Prague Discount Hotels arranged for us to be picked up at the airport free of charge which was a great help. The driver was very friendly and very helpful answering questions we had about Prague and where to visit and eat. Booking online was very easy with a good description of each Hotel.

The Hotel Prague Expres couldn't have been situated (Old Town) any better for visiting the sights of the City. We didn't have to catch a bus or tram. Everything was in walking distance. Can't really fault the Hotel. Very clean and the staff were always friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. Breakfast is brought to your room every morning at a time arranged the day before.

Overall a great stay in a lovely City made even better for the location of the Hotel. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to be in the heart of the Old Town.

Thank you.

We found that the room we stayed in whilst in the top floor the window was a skylight window. The room was very small and we struggled to walk round the room standing straight.

I would not be recommending the hotel to others and i will not be booking again. It was suggest to be a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately i would not suggest our rooms we anything above a 2 star.
